Today all over the world, Muslim Ummah are celebrating Eid-el Fitr after a thirty (30) day of abstinence starting from Monday, 11th March , 2024.
The State Co-ordinator of National Council of of Muslim Youth Organization (NACOMYO) in the sunshine state, Comr Ogunmola Muhammed Dayo has used the occasion to felicitate with and congratulate all Muslim Ummah especially the entire muslim youths ion the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast.
In a Sallah Message personally signed and made available to Abejoye Media News , the indefatigable Co-ordinator of NACOMYO admonished all Muslims and the youths in particular never to forget the lessons and teachings of the Holy Month. He emphasized the needs to be tolerant
and foster unity and love among Nigerians considering the economic and insecurity challenges in the country.
The letter reads in part:
"I congratulate you all for the success of this year Ramadan Fast. In the last thirty days, we have sacrificed all to abstain from sins while moving closer to Allah( SAW). Let us not forget the gains of the sacred month. Our nation is challenged economically and security-wise, so there is need to work together with the right attitudes to save our people and the nation."
"Let us not forget the underprivileged and the needy who are in lack to celebrate. We must extend to them helping hands so that they too can celebrate the Sallah. As a people, our nation's priority is love . Let us continue to preach love and peace for our mutual co-existence. "
He therefore advised Muslim leaders to provide exemplary leadership and positive attitudes as required of them. Leaders of note at all levels especially the President of Nigeria ,Bola Ahmed Tinubu is advised to pilot the affairs of the nation with integrity and transparency while reminding that he is currently the father of nation.
The Co-ordinator also used the occasion to congratulate the newly inaugurated Executive Committee under him while appreciating the attitude of unity , cooperation and cohesion within NACOMYO in Ondo State. He called for genuine support of all Muslim stakeholders in the state for a quality delivery of his administration. " The youths are the ambassadors of Islam and the future of the religion of peace. Let us display uncommon traits of purposeful and forthright leadership so as to reflect the beauty of Islam to the world. I'm pleased with the responsible display of good conduct and morals of all Muslim youths in the state during the Holy Month."
Muhammed equally used the opportunity to appreciate the Executive Governor of Ondo State, HE, Gov. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa who hosted the Muslims to Iftar last Sunday. However, the State Co-ordinator called for more involvement of Muslims brothers and sisters by the governor in his administration as Commissioners and in other juicy portfolios to address alleged non-inclusion.
In his conclusion,he admonished all Muslims to celebrate moderately and with fear of Allah and love for their neighbours noting that it's the beauty of Eid-el Fitr.
