History was made on Saturday, 9th Of March, 2024 at Fonts Hall In Akure where Ondo State NACOMYO under the leadership of Alhaji Yekeen Alli ,the outgone State Co-ordinator hosted the NACOMYO Southern Zone Dawah Retreat & Inauguration Ceremony Of New Ondo State NACOMYO Executive Officers. The entire Muslim youths in Ondo State gathered at the venue to make a new positive change capable of impacting decades and generations.

The theme of the retreat which was well attended by scholars, religious leaders and public office holders is tagged, "Between Mundane Facade And Divine Succour" featuring three lectures series:
1) The Community of the Middle Courses; Who Speaks for the Muslims by Prof. Isaq Akintola ( Director, MURIC )
2) Socio-economic Challenges facing Nigeria Youth Migrating to Another Land: Prospects or Woes by Mr Taiwo AbdulWaheed Adegboyega( Commandant, NAPTIP ,Ondo State)
3) Strategic Management of Islamic Organization: Funding in the Face of World Economic Crisis by Sheikh Moshood Raji Kewuyemi ( Quality Assurance, Education Department,Abuja).
According Alhaji Yekeen Alli ,he described the retreat as best of its kinds considering the array of dignitaries in attendance and the huge success later recorded. He further maintained that the choice of Engr Ogunmola Muhammed as the new State Coordinator is well accepted by all Muslim Youths in the sunshine state considering his landmark achievements in YIAGA , Africa as a volunteered election observer in Nigeria's general elections over the years.. He further revealed that other executive members were selected based on their track record of service delivery and sterling testimonials of commitment to Allah and Islam.
"Ogunmola is a quintessential leader and a man of purpose who has lived above board in both private and public life. He has demonstrated exemplary leadership attributes and showcased Islam positively with his cherished quotas contributed. To us,his decoration is therefore earned with his mercurial qualities of institutional discipline, administrative panache and firm character", Yekini finally submitted.
The Executive Governor of Ondo State, HE, Gov. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa was represented at the event by Hon. Ganiy Mohammad,the SA to the governor on Special Duties and Strategies. In the goodwill message of the governor, Ganiy admonished the youths to be good ambassadors of Islam and that they should use their God-given resources to help government tackle the multi-faceted challenges confronting it in the state and Nigeria as a whole. He then saluted the courage of the outgone state officers while also congratulating the new ones.
Engr Ogunmola Muhammed in his acceptance speech on behalf of the new State Officers described his selection as the number one citizen among muslim youths in the state shortly after their inauguration as both divine and timely. He congratulated his co-travellers while also appreciating members of NACOMYO for the rare honour. " To me, this is a great challenge. I will do my best to make positive impact while hoping that your total support shall be enjoyed throughout my tenure. " He stated further," We must all use our good office to better the lives of others. My status today is as a result of the assistance of Late Mr Taye Aruna ,a muslim brother and the former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment . Aruna was previously assisted by Otunba Oyewole Fasawe , another muslim with the influence of Alh. (Ch.) Jamiu Afolabi EKUNGBA, the Ekon-Odo Agbara of Owo and the newly installed Baba Adini of Owo kingdom and a foremost stakeholders of MSSN. In any position we are, let us assist our brothers . This is our primary pre-occupation as Muslims."
Muhammed is also the State Coordinator of the Liberators, Ondo State ,a socio-political pressure group.He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA). He is also a master certificate holder and a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers as a registered member of COREN.

A BRIEF PROFILE OF ENGR. OGUNMOLA MUHAMMED DAYO ON THE OCCASION OF HIS INAUGURATION AS THE CO-ORDINATOR, NATIONAL COUNCIL OF MUSLIM YOUTH ORGANISATIONS (NACOMYO), ONDO STATE CHAPTER HELD ON SATURDAY 9TH MARCH, 2024 (SHA'ABAN 1445 AH)
BIRTH:
Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed is an indigene of Owo, and precisely from High Chf. Sasere and High Chf. Ineren’s families. His late father, Alh. Shaykh Ogunmola Idris who was one of the first-set of El- Adabbiyah Arabic College in Owo was known for simplicity with impeccable honest characters. His mother, Hajia Idris Mariam Wuraola (Nee Aminu Neren) was born great and she is the current Iya Adini of Muslim Community in Owo Kingdom.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATES:
Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed earned Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental and Petroleum Technology Management from South America University, Wilmington, Delaware, Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure; and National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical Engineering from Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo, now RUGIPO. Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed acquired Basic and Quranic knowledge under the tutelage of his late father, Alh. Shaykh Ogunmola Idris and later advanced at the Arabic and Islamic Institute, Kankara. Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed is a Professional COREN Registered Engineer. He is equipped and certificated in Human Resources and Skill Acquisition by HOREBSON Resources Development, Lagos. He was trained and obtained Executive Leadership Certificate on Sustainable Waste Management from Lagos Business School (PAN Atlantic University, Lagos), He was trained and acquired certificate on Environmental Education Outcomes and Plastics from Civic Ecology Lab, Cornell University, New York. He is well trained as a Climate Action Challenger by the Green Team Academy in USA. Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed participated at the Capacity Building/Leadership Training Programmes organized by the NACOMYO among other things. In fact, Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed was one of the 6 Youth Delegates that represent Nigeria in October 2022 at Egypt among other Global Youths for the Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP27) Simulation Modelling and Capacity Building Programme under the auspices of the British University in Egypt (BUE) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
WORK EXPERIENCE
Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed previously worked as Environmental, Quality Assurance and Safety Engineer for GABOLA International Limited in Akure/Port Harcourt, as Mathematics Teacher for Government Science Secondary School in Kankara; and currently working as Occupational Safety Officer under the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency of Nigeria (NOSDRA). Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed also volunteered severely as Elections Observer and Supervisor for YIAGA Africa.
