The death of the amiable and indefatigable State Chairman of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Ondo State, Alhaji Fatai Adekanye Adams was received with rude shock by the entire members of PDP family in Owo LG Chapter just like the entire good people of the sunshine state on the morning of Wednesday, 14th February,2024.
The sudden demise of this Colossus was extremely devastating and worrisome ; and has been consistently described a great tragedy in the state. His circumstancial death is indeed mournful and sorrowful as his life was cut short at its prime by the cold hands of death.
In a letter of condolences made available to Abejoye Media News and duly signed by High Ch. Idris Okeowo Olafimihan -Asaba ,the PDP Chairman ,Owo LG Chapter and his Publicity Secretary, Akogun Folahanmi Olaniyi, the PDP expressed its concerns over the unfortunate passage of such a meek, humane and loyal partyman. The PDP family also revealed the monumental loss of the entire Ondo North Senatorial District particularly Irun Akoko over this irreparable loss of an Avatar.
The PDP family condoled with the leadership and the entire members of the PDP in Ondo State over this inevitable exit of an enigma. They therefore sympathized with his family ( his wife and children particular ) and the entire good people of Irun Akoko and by extensions Akoko North East and Ondo North generally over this irreplaceable loss of a political juggernaut and general
The letter reads in part as follows :
We sympathize with the family of our dear leader and chairman whose life was cut short untimely by death.
Our grief and agony are indispensable and unavoidable as words are not enough to convey our anguish over this huge loss considering the cherished memories of the loved and the lost.
Alhaji Fatai Adams lived a responsible life of purpose and fulfillment as a forthright leader, seasoned politician, fine administrator, refined democrat and great community development advocate. He was above board in both his private and public life. He was a rare icon with hope and future .
To us in Owo , Fatai was a God-fearing man with firmness of character, administrative acumen and institutional discipline. He is extremely calm, cool, collected, composed and comported. In the face of challenges, he was baptized with unruffled disposition and On-top-of-the-situaton ambience. He was a great political disciple and apostle with servant -leader attributes.
However, death has robbed us all of his wealth of knowledge as a foremost partyman and administrator; his reservoir of experience as an astute legislator; and his too many sterling virtues and attributes that are the clear testimonials of his quality leadership and delivery as a Deputy Chairman and later Chairman of the PDP.
At this critical period of mourning,our words shall surely be insufficient to assuage the pains and despair brought upon us by this unfortunate death.However , our understanding and belief remain that you will all fine the fortitude,comfort and consolation required at this trying time to weather the storm of this great grief.
Our hearts go out to the immediate family Adams left behind particularly his wife and children who are now greatly devastated and overwhelmed by deep grief. May Allah give us all in the PDP family in Ondo State ; and his entire family and the good people of Irun and the entire Akoko the rare fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
