True to his promise to always show commitment to the annual investiture of awards on deserving individuals and groups in the society, the entire management of City Track Magazine has again bestowed Meritorious Awards of Honour on various groups and individuals that have distinguished themselves in their services to humanity through philanthropic gestures and their professional callings.
The CEO and Publisher of the widely read tabloid, City Track Magazine,Comr Gbolahan Aderibigbe has consistently described the Annual Anniversary as his personal commitment to humanity while stating that the investiture of the awards was his chosen way to further encourage excellence among professionals ,and quality delivery of services among organizations capable of transforming lives and bettering the society at large. He therefore appealed to the audience at the 2023 edition of the Award Ceremony to always remain steadfast and be readily devoted to all gestures that will improve the society by adding values to individuals. He was extremely glad in his opening remark as he thanked previously and now all that have contributed in no small measure to the success stories recorded over the years by the management team of the magazine.

However,the Chairman of the occasion, the fine administrator, Chief ( Dr) Alagha Samuel who also is the immediate former Deputy Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo was grateful for the honour done him to chair the event. He thanked the organizer as he applauded his resolve to organize the event annually, but advised that the purpose of giving out the award should be religiously guided so as to further add values to the Annual Anniversary. His address as presented during the occasion reads in full as follows.:
AN ADDRESS DELIVERED BY DR. ALAGHA SAMUEL AT THE 16TH ANNIVERSARY OF CITY TRACK MAGAZINE HELD ON SUNDAY, 3RD DECEMBER, 2023 AT OKE-MAPO HALL, OWO
It gladdens my mind to be present in this very august assembly today as the chairman of the event. I humbly like to welcome everyone to today's epoch making which marks the 16th year of existence of this noble and reputable magazine in Owo Kingdom.
Permit me to briefly dwell on the pedigree of this gentle man called Gbolahan Aderibigbe. Aderibigbe is a visionary and dedicated son of Owo from a very decent and amiable family in Owo. Aderibigbe is an household name in Owo township. Gbolahan with this background is a very humble, knowledgeable, intelligent, brilliant, disciplined and focused personality and as I said earlier he is visionary. He has passion for the Great Owo Kingdom, humanity and his environment with infectious smile and uncommon handsomeness! He is the Chief Editor of City Track Magazine. The Magazine is an unparalleled and unprecedented magazine in Owo that is committed to grassroots and communal services. It recognizes and honours individuals or group of individuals in Ogho Kingdom who have excelled in their various endeavors and who are genuinely interested in developmental activities of Owo community in the areas of education, politics, sports, chieftaincy, governance, maintenance of peace, business, agriculture, Medicine,industry and tradition to mention but few. I had been monitoring the activities of this impeccable Magazine over a decade now and I feel proud to identify with its aims, objectives, mode of operation and the resilience to make Owo Kingdom a cynosure and haven of home to all indegenes and other inhabitants of the ancient kingdom. In the past, different individuals have been spotted and honoured for their various roles and acts of philanthropy, role modelling and achievements. This gesture had yielded a lot of dividends to the communities in the Kingdom as these personalities so honoured are encouraged on daily basis to do more. Time may not permit me to mention individuals that include Kings, Chiefs, philanthropists, educationist, business men, public office holders, politicians, academicians, sons and daughters of the great Owo Kingdom home and in diaspora that have been spotted for honour. The last one I witnessed is the grand awards termed Eminent Personality in Owo Hall of Fame Award of which I partook as a recipient.
Today some special individuals, clubs, associations and NGOs will join the league of honorees by this heavenly endorsed and endowed outfit called the City Track Magazine. I congratulate you today for a consistent 16 years of purposeful, successful and eventful existence. I wish you many more years of diligent services to the great Kingdom, Ondo State and by extension the whole country- Nigeria.

All the recipients of the Annual Awards were extremely grateful to City Track Magazine for counting them worthy of such decorations. They unanimously encouraged all to buy and patronize the magazine which covers stories on Owo and her environs.
At the occasion, Owo cultures received a boost considering the mercurial display of Aso-Oke , beads and other cultural specimens like local renditions to spice the moment by the legendary Owo cultural musi maestro,Aina Sima and her Cultural Group.
