The return of HE, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, the Executive Governor of Ondo State few days ago is an expression of the efficacy of prayers of all concerned citizens of the sunshine state who fervently interceded for his speedy recovery and safe return as their leader and the number one citizens of the state.
The PDP family in Owo LGA,the hometown of the governor, has joined voice with those of millions of Nigerians irrespective of any religious belief, political affiliation or any other sundry interest to congratulate the state governor on his quick recuperation by hailing his return to his duty post after a three-month medical battle with a critical ailment .
In a letter written on behalf of PDP in Owo LGA and personally signed by the party chairman who also doubles as the Asaba Eleshakun of Iloro Quarters in the ancient town, High Ch. Idris Okeowo Olafimihan but obtained by Abejoye Media News ( AMN) , the party members were extremely happy just like everyone in the state for the safe return of their son who is now hale and hearty.
Asaba Eleshakun emphatically mentioned that it's not the wish of the PDP,an opposition party in the state that Arakunrin Akeredolu, SAN should die. According to him , he maintained," Our party is a lover of peace, progress and good news ;and our interest is that the governor should return safely in sound health just like all critical stakeholders who went on marathon intercession for him over his illness. In line with our wish, the governor has returned more healthier and stronger. We are indeed happy ,however we charge him to be more careful and cautious now that he is back as enemies abound around him."
As regards his constitutional obligations, Asaba haled the governor's decision in signing the House of Assembly bill that creates Local Council Development Areas ( LCDA) into law. He thanked all the past administration in the state from 1999 to 2016 for their quality inputs that today factored into the creation of the new LCDAs. However, he advised that the state government should critically look into other genuine demands of all aggrieved communities throughout eighteen LGAs to avoid crisis that may disrupt the existing peace and harmony in the state.
On the hardship faced by the Ondo State citizens due to astronomical hike in the prices of commodities in the markets and the stringent economy in the land, the PDP chairman posited," Your Excellency, it is incumbent upon us as your kinsmen to tell you that our people are suffering. We admonish you to use your good office now that you are around in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of your political party, APC to alleviate the pains and sufferings of our people who are now facing serious challenges in all spheres. " He said further," We know you should be given enough time to rest and fully recuperate; nevertheless our people must have a new lease of life under your leadership as this is obligatory. This you must logically and speedily addressed now that you are on ground. While discharging you duties, caution is desirable and you must beware of banana peels around you."
AMN found out that the recent safe return of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu ,SAN in a fine fettle is indeed an overwhelming joy for all as no-one in the state irrespective of colour or creed is planning whatsoever to mourn over his death as demonstrated by the prayer sessions daily organized across the state in the last three months.
