• EDC congratulates Elemure and the people of Emure-Ile Kingdom, Commended Ondo Govt for the elevation
The Elemure Of Emure-ile in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State officially became a First Class Monarch on Wednesday, 24th August ,2022 after the approval of the upgrade of others by the State Executive Council chaired by HE, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN during its weekly meeting.

The Kabiyesi , Elemure Of Emure-ile, HRM, Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa (I) JP and the entire people of the kingdom under Emure-Ile Development Council under the Chairman of the political gladiator and former Commissioner for Finance, Budgets and Economic Planning during Adefarati Administration and former Director,Odua Investment received the good news with ecstasy , and appreciated the state government for the feat achieved .

The Elemure Of Emure-Ile, The Elemure-In-Council and Emure-Ile Development Council (EDC) commended the governor of the state , Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the wise decision which is applauded by all. The forthright and purposeful governor is heartilyappreciated for the elevation of the stool of Elemure Of Emure-ile Kingdom to First class status.
The EDC therefore appreciated all efforts of individuals and group interests while congratulating the traditional ruler and good people of the kingdom over the elevation of the stool of Elemure to Grade A monarch. Asiwaju Segun Ojo expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the good development , and in return thanked the members of the State Executive Council for their quality and acceptable decisions critically and consciously taken. " This simply defines who we are in the sunshine state. I appreciate Dr Olusegun Rahman Mimiko for the initiative just like I praise Justice Ajama and all members of his commission." He applauded the painstakingly perusal of the review committee upon whose discretion the final decisions of SEC were crested.
"Our fathers late and alive in particular (Pa Aro Otedugba and Pa Kareem Borishade Gbejebiamila) and all sons and daughters and critical stakeholders are indeed applauded for their quality contributions". In particular, I appreciate the chiefs, EDC hierarchy and every individuals particularly our son, Comr Sunday Olaoluwa Ikoto whose signatures are indelible during the Ajama Commission proceedings.
It is imperative to know that the Elemure Of Emure-Ile Kingdom is one of the Oba with beaded crown in Yoruba land as far back as 1924 as established by the Ajama Commission of Enquiry due to a document from the National Archive in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital presented before it.
You will recall that the Morgan Commission of Enquiry in the late 50s recommended that Elemure Of Emure-Ile be given a Prescribed Authority to cover all land , villages ,camps and hamlets that are traditionally and politically under him with the available historical evidence provided by the team led by Late Chief Aro Omamakolude Otedugba of Aro-Taase Family in the kingdom. In 1967 , the Prescribed Authority was gazetted in government White Paper as the Elemure Of Emure-Ile officially became the Autonomous Ruler of Emure-Ile Kingdom in Grade B category of traditional rulers in the old Ondo State.
However, after several failed attempts ,in 2016 during Ajama Commission, Elemure approached the state government with the request to be upgraded to first class monarch. Apart from the evidence certified by the National Archive and others available through Morgan Commission of Enquiry,Late Pa Kareem Borishade Gbejebiamila of Oru-Asolo Family in the kingdom , at one hundred and twenty-two years (122) then provided historical evidence and facts why Elemure Of Emure-Ile must be upgraded to first class monarch in the state.
With the quality presentation of facts and figures which are verifiable by the public provided before Justice Ajama Commission by the team led by Elemure, HRM, Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa (I) JP himself, the commission could not but recommend that Elemure Of Emure-Ile be upgraded to Grade A monarch in the state without any further delay .
Emure-Ile Kingdom is a community that was established by Elemure Abaidu Oighofen Ajaloron traceable to Obele at Ilode ( Ulode) Quarter in Ile-Ife in 964 AD. As it's, Oba Adedubaje Adeyefa is the 24th Elemure on the throne.
HRM, Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa (I) JP is traceable geneologically to the first Elemure but more convincingly ,he can be traced to the 19th Elemure, Oba Olumokuro Akokoleborisha Akolejo, his great great grandfather. He begot his great grandfather, Elemure Elefola who fathered Elemure Obeluegbe Ogundimibola (I) , his grandfather who joined his ancestors in 1959 . Elemure Japheth Adeyefa Ogundimibola (II) ,his biological father, was enthroned in 1959 but joined his ancestors in 1990 after 31 year of quality leadership and peaceful reign with phenomenal achievements.
But on 14th February after a decade of regency of Princess E.B .O Abitogun, a retired senior secretary in the Governor's Office in the state, HRM, Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa (I) JP, a seasoned but retired and untired headmaster became the Elemure Of Emure-Ile from the Elemure Royal Family ,the only Ruling House in the kingdom.
According to the EDC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Nasirudeen I. Boboye-Ijawoye, he said,"This development is applauded by all sons and daughters of the kingdom and the entire inhabitants of the community with jubilation as this good news came in when the community just celebrated Uteni, Olukumori,Ujewuro(Egbo) and Oluwa-Ogajigbo Festivals and is looking forward to Ajagbo Festival on 31st August, 2022 which is the grand finale of New Yam Festival in the great kingdom."
High Ch. (Barr.) Eniola Alaba Ajipe -The Ailoyen of the kingdom described the elevation as a good thing to have happened to the ancient town and an evidence of useful deliberations of EDC and Elemure-In-Council ." This is the direct testimonial of the unity we sought all this well". This is not different from the position of Ch. Ojo Peter Adeyemi Aladewolu , the secretary of Elemure -In-Council who hailed the state government decision.

To the Ugbamas , their heads- Olotuwa Ajila Tolade, Olotuwa Sanmide Ojo and Olotuwa Olupona Fatai described the news as a joy that gladdens the hearts of Emure sons and daughters home and in the diaspora. For the Youth Leader, Emure-Ile Youth Council (EYC),Comr. Ogunmolasuyi Olusola, the development points to the greatness of the kingdom considering her historical antecedents and cherished culture and traditions. "The entire youths are happy", he submitted, while saluting the courage of the state governor and applauding the EDC for the peace brokered recently among Elemure Family.
To High Ch. Aro Fagbohungbe who spoke on behalf of the entire chiefs ( Omode Ighare and Agba Ighare) described the stool of Elemure as a sacred one with historical panache while congratulating Elemure and the entire people of the kingdom for the good news.

The womenfolks were not exempted as they were extremely happy as they received the good news. The Iyaloja of the kingdom, Ch. Omolade Stella Olawolu was in stupor of joy when she hailed the state government and Arakunrin Akeredolu for their decision and approval on behalf of Emure-Ile women.
Emure-Ile Kingdom is agog with jubilation as we speak as the Aghoro of the kingdom,Ch . Oloje Fadahun, Ch. Ajashen Abiri Gbenga and Ch. Ajara Adegboro Ojo revealed that their prayers were heard and approved by the gods of the land. They described the relationship between Emure-Ile and Owo as a mutual and cordial with the roles Oronshen and Oluwa-Ogajigbo deities have played since the reign of Olowo Renrenghenjen about 700 years ago.
They congratulate Olowo Ajibade Gbadegesi Ogunoye I( for his positive roles and the governor for his steadfastness and forthrightness in gratitude for their support.
