The Muslim pilgrims for Hajj 2022 in Owo LGA to the Holy Land ,Mecca the capital of Saudi Arabia this Wednesday visited the Palace of Olowo of Owo ,Oba Ajibade Gbadegesi Ogunoye (III) to receive his royal blessing as they observed one of the five pillars of Islam.
The Muslim Community led by the Secretary of Council of Imams and Alfas, South-western Nigeria, Edo and Delta ,Sheik (Alh.) Ahmad Olagoke Aladesawe who doubles as the Chief Imam Of Owo led high profile Muslim delegation that involved the like of his Deputy Imam,Alh. Rauf Iwalesi; the Chief Tefsir, Alh. Abdul-Salam;Alh. (Ch) Aragbagbaye Omoloja; Alh. Moshood Basaru-Imam of Isaipen Quarter,and other bigshots also used the ocassion to pay a courtesy call to the Kabiyesi on the St. Francis Catholic Church Masacre at Owaluwa in the ancient town.

Aladesawe didn't forget to console and comfort the bereaved of their anguish and the repose of the dead perfect rest . He also saluted the courage of the governor of the state, Arakunrin Akerodolu, SAN for standing tall for his gallantry. He thereafter commiserate with him and the entire people of the sunshine state over the unfortunate genocide.

While reacting ,Oba Ajibade Gbadegesi Ogunoye (III) expressed his indebtedness to the entire muslim community for the honour done him and their love , concern and support over the unfortunate event. He prayed for God's speed for the pilgrims and also prayed that they be back here alive and in due time. He didn't forget to remind that that they should all pray fervently for the kingdom and her inhabitants.
Olowo Ogunoye further charged the the entire muslim community in the town to help pray without ceasing for Owo Community against any further disaster as the security and safety of lives and property of Owo residents becomes a collective responsibility..

Some of the chiefs who graced the ocassion included the Akowaloja of Iloro Quarter, High Ch. Sidney Ogunleye; High Ch. Ojumu of Igboroko ; High Ch. I.O.Olafimihan Asaba of Iloro among other important gladiators within the muslim critical stakeholders and its rank and file.
