My Condolences With Government And People Of Ondo State
The foundation of the Nigeria nation is today gravely shaken by bizzare holocaust wickedly perpetrated by evil men with criminal mindsets.
The death toll witnessed at the gory scene of the dastardly act is gruesome and heartbreaking. The casualties recorded was unfortunately alarming. With this horrendous and callous repressive clapdowm on innocent citizens, humanity is debased and life has become very terrible, horrific ,brutish,short and demeaning.
The future of our dear nation is now in jeopardy no doubt especially with the crossroad we currently find ourselves considering this senseless brigandage and mindless daily masacre witnessed but unprovoked in country.
As youths under the umbrella party ,the PDP in Ondo North Senatorial District which the troubled kingdom is an integral part of ,we were shocked beyond imagination and devastated beyond description by the degree of wanton waste of precious innocent lives in the sanctuary of the Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
By this utter catastrophe, we are extremely grieved by this huge destruction of the souls of innocent worshippers at the safest place,a sacred altar of the living God Almighty . Our regrets know no bounds by this pogrom,so is our pains without limits.
We sympathize with the families of deceased principally, the Catholic Families mostly devastated, the government and the entire good people of the community now living in palpable fear and apprehension in utter depression. May the souls of the departed rest peacefully till eternity while wishing the injured speedy recovery from their wounds and trauma.
We are in the know of the heavy heart of our dearest Olowo of Owo,HIM ,Oba Ajibade Gbadegesi Ogunoye III and other royal fathers in the entire LGA. Our condolences message may fail to dampened your despair and buoy up your hope , however kindly find the solace required to withstand this pains and the uncommon fortitude to bear this huge loss in our solidarity and condolences.
It's quite disturbing however that the challenge that was first witnessed in 2017 with the kidnapp of the Executive Chairman of Owo LG Council, Hon. Oluwole Folahanmi near the Airport on Akure-Benin Expressway has today become a dreadful monster that has continued to rear its head uglier and bigger. Apart from Olufon of Ifon ,HRM, Oba Adeusi that was brutally murdered at Elegbeke on his way from state official assignment recently , many prominent citizens have been kidnapped ,some killed and few others released on ransom payment.
A medical doctor at FMC was abducted just like Engr Ojo of Mechanical Engineering Department and a known figure from Uso . In fact, not too long, at Emure-Ile , a place very close to the ongoing project ,the Sunshine Food Industry , some Nigerians were whisked away into the forest just like the others reported daily in the media, and their tales were devastating.
Only few weeks ago, the supervisor of the dualization project between Mobil and Ikare Junction,owo was whisked away in a commando-like manner after his military attache was murdered and his body mutilated with bullets. Regrettably this was painfully witnessed not too long when the Elerewe of Owo, High Ch. Ojo Ilori was also gun down by unknown gunmen now still at large.
Painfully to mention, the husband of my niece (son-in-law) who was with Amotekun Security personnel as they attacked Fulani headers terrorising our people two years ago at the forest reserve in Owo till today is never seen . In fact , whether he is dead or alive is never known as we have searched for him endlessly. Similar situation was witnessed at Ute- Arimogija axis of Ose LGA recently . As we speak,many have abandoned their farmlands and homes in the fear of attack.
Going to farm is now a horrible experience ! Soon , famine shall stare us in the face !
Similar situations were often witnessed in Akoko Land. Apart from others , about two sets of people very close to me were kidnapped in Akoko roads and huge ransoms were paid to gain their freedom.
What a nation we find ourselves? Security architecture have finally collapsed !
Yesterday's ugly shenanigan has made the first Sunday of June 2022 a black Sunday indeed in the entire Ondo State. The repressible horror unleashed from the nation's Pandora's box on our innocent citizens is both demeaning and repressively callous; wickedly barbaric and unethical, disgracefully uncivilized and regrettably catastrophic , and highly punitive and anachronistic. It's an immeasurable tragedy that regrettably launched Owo once again into the cyberspace as a captured territory.
In our fustrations orchestrated by the worrisome state of the nation, we are indeed forced to admit that Owo by extension to the entire length and breath of Yoruba Nation is now under siege as a conquered territory.. Yesterday's masacre only reminds us of the abduction and death of Pa Fasoranti's daughter, the devastations of Pa Olu Falae and the abduction of our traditional rulers right in their various palaces. This mass murder is a signal of our failed Security architecture and the lip service of the federal government especially.
This death toll is against the ones claimed by banditry, armed robbery , religious bigotry , kidnappings and other means of lethal debasement of humanity. What a colossal collateral wastage!
From Anambra to Zamfara ( A to Z of our country) chapter by verse, Nigerians in the southern part just like in the northern region are under siege. As a people ,we must go beyond the rhetorics to condemn the attack on our peaceful co-existence and transquility in the nation for more than a century .
As youth, we are very challenged as we are daily sinking into disillusionment and hopelessness in our helpless situation. As change agents who hold the ace to the future, we shall never forget in a gift the masacre of future Leaders of the 2020 End SARS Tollgate Saga. It's an eclipse on our collective resolve as future leaders just like the unfortunate senseless murder of children and youths in yesterday's dastardly act of tyranny.
Today ,our allegiance to the nation is questionable with the dwindling signs of patriotism and the corruption both moral and materials perpetrators by the oligarchic few among us especially in high places. We are stretched beyond our elastic limits by the yokes of excruciating pains put on our shoulders by the ineptitude and inadequacies of our leaders at all levels.
We are making this Clarion Call to all opinion moulders , critical stakeholders and leaders of our dear nation to rise to the occasion and speak truth to authority where necessary. We are tired of living with palpable fear and sleeping with our eyes open. We want nothing but peaceful co-existence and transquility in our localities. This demand is not too much considering our mortgaged future already.
The killing under the regime is not only senseless,it's pretty horrendous..A government that is believed to be saviour of the citizens is now a killer squad..This is most painful and harrowing.. It's heartbreaking indeed !
For all intents and purposes,our passionate appeal is sent to our authorities at various levels of government /leadership to quickly to do the needful to avert the impending civil war that is looming considering what daily is awashing our media space.
Once again,we share in the pains and despair associated with this mindless salvage wickedly perpetrated by these notorious terrorists. We leave them for God to judge accordingly and all that brought this monumental carnage on us for posterity to reward accordingly.
