We read with dismay and consternation this unfounded allegation against the PDP Members in Iloro and the entire Owo LGA .
This is nothing but a tissue of lies woven by the Majority Leader of Ondo State House of Assemby who currently is overwhelmed with dishonour to cover his shame . This bundle of falsehood could only come from the pit of confused cocoon of the embattled non-performer and a tissue of irreconcilable who is wrongly addressed as Distinguished Honourable making frantic but unyielding efforts to hoodwink us all. Unfortunately we are neither gullible nor disillusioned by his political mirage.
This is an abracadabra to smear a genuine efforts to speak truth to power !
With this concorted media balm to soothe the pains and disappointment of the constituents and massage his ego, both Mr Bamidele Adekunle and Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi appeared like drowning men who , with great struggle, clawed to straws as their last hope of survival.
We could not have responded to this purported rumours, unfounded allegations and unnecessary aspersions cast on the integrity of the our grey party and the PDP members if not to make some clarifications, and set the record straight before the entire people of Ondo State especially great people of Owo LGA.
It's first pretty funny to describe simple verbal attacks, genuine tantrums and protest against poor representation by irate youths thrown at the political buffoon in the person of the Majority Leader as missiles throwing and blasphemy rendering. What missiles and blasphemy, if we may ask? Poor use of vocabularies one will think! Anyway, this statement pictorially revealed the magnitude of anger and frustrations around the necks of APC members and within their ranks and files particularly the party youths in Ward 6 ,Owo LGA.
We are not fools nor gullible people in the PDP. We are aware with verifiable evidence that the ring leader or chief perpetrator of the riotious political protest as alleged twistingly,one Mr Bamidele Adekunle is the current Auditor of APC in Iloro and Personal Assistant to Hon. Jimoh Dojumo, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters. He is a known figure and is not hidden as critical stakeholder in the ruling APC. He is well-informed and could not be misled !
It's very absurd , illogical and unexplainable why a principal Executive Committee Member in the ward and a close associate (PA) of the principal appointee of the governor, Jelenke could be sent to attack his party member,leader and principal officer of the sunshine state Hallowed Chamber for that matter by a PDP member. This is odious, offensive, appalling, incredulous and unfortunate !
If this is possible ,then something is wrong within the APC family in Iloro Ward 6 that is yet to be revealed to the entire world. To describe such genuine spontaneous protest against non-performance of APC Chieftain in a fledging democracy as ill-sponsored is not only disheartening and disturbing, it is equally malicious and infuriating if not unthinkable. This allegation has done nothing but only to further confirm that most leaders of the APC are pathological lies and social lepers as the recent burning national issues have revealed.
Jelenke and Hon. Ogunmolasuyi should be bold enough to mention name (s) of the PDP member(s) who sponsored the so called miscreants or thugs ( APC members) to attack the Majority Leader. It's indeed very unreasonable and ridiculous for such self-acclaimed Distinguished Honourable to make deliberate efforts to cover his shame with lies and unfounded allegations against the opposition party by forcing this young man to apologise under duress as the videos now viral on the social media platforms have shown.
It's very obvious to all inhabitants of Owo Kingdom and the critical stakeholders that PDP is a peaceful party in the LGA. Evidence abounds to corroborate this assertion . Recently the Owo LG Chairman of the PDP,High Chief Idris Okeowo Olafimihan-Asaba willingly allowed the former LG Chairman of APC , High Ch. Sidney Ogunleye to be installed as Akowaloja Of Iloro ,when he could have tested his popularity ,to demonstrate his love for the kingdom. This sacrifice shows that the first citizen of the PDP is a man of peace. So are other PDP chieftains like Mr Bobola Ayoola, the ward Chairman; Barr. (Ch) Kunle Ijalana ,The Adanigbo Osoko , Barr. Olusola Oludipe to mention but a few. They are peacefully mannered, admirable and amiable among their people as lovers of progress.
The PDP aspirant for the coveted seat of Member, House of Assemby , High Ch. Adebayo Abiodun Ibrahim a.k.a Abbey ShopRite, the Adafen Olomiyete of Iloro Quarter and the State Auditor of PDP from Iloro is a gentleman to the core. He is also a community leader and builder. So, the people of Ondo State want to know the particular PDP stakeholder that sponsored such riotious protest purportedly described with the import of missiles and blasphemy.
It's quite illogical for such a political nincompoop and weakling like Jelenke to label his friends who were genuinely demanding fair representation as PDP thugs by calling them unprintable names so as to get his freedom. May be, Jelenke and Hon. Ogunmolasuyi and their retinue of gullible followers and supporters who are mired in foolhardiness have forgotten that the videos of the unfortunate protest that went viral on social media clearly depicted faces and persons that partook in the political molestation of APC leader by his party members because of his lakadaidical attitude and poor representation.
APC especially in Owo LGA is a haven for public urchins, miscreants and bad boys. Proofs abound to confirm this position. Few days ago, the men of the Nigerian Army were hurriedly drafted to Ehin-Ogbe to quell another political melee where broken bottles,matchets and other dangerous weapons were freely used at the instance of the Majority Leader . This ugly incident attracted the attention of key stakeholders and our revered Olowo of Owo,HIM, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesi Ogunoye (III) to quickly sue for peace amidst free flow of blood from matchets' and broken bottles' cut. Our gratitude to the traditional ruler for his prompt response to such incident capable of tipping the kingdom once again into tipzy-turpzy.
The PDP Publicity Secretariat learnt from impeccable sources that one Mr Fisayo , the former LG Youth Leader of APC was secretly gifted with half a million naira without the knowledge of other boys in his camp having previously rejected the legislator in a unanimous decision by the Majority Leader who was making all frantic efforts to cover his shame in Owo Constituency (I) to avoid a repeat of the ugly shenanigan at Iloro.
Are they saying that Hon. Samuel Adeyeri Ashami, a former Supervisor and Lg Youth Leader of the PDP who is peaceful and hospitable; Hon. Olabode Ijalana,a meek and vibrant gentleman whose billboard was torn at Oke-Mapo by APC thugs ; or Rt. Hon. Ayodeji Samuel Arowele , a former Deputy Speaker with impeccable track records of meritorious performance, who are aspirants for MHA and Reps as the case may be sent APC boys to attack their former Youth Leader and APC stalwart? This question is rhetorical !
You will all recall that Owo was thrown into pandemonium as she became a threatre of war during the build-up to 2020 gubernatorial election just like event is revealing.They are at it again ! Then the camp of Ch. Olaide Adelami( Olamilaaka) who was a governorship aspirant were frequently attacked by those loyal to the incumbent governor. Sound of gunshots then often rented the air as it became a daily trumpet with living fear everywhere just like few days another Senatorial Aspirant under the platform of APC shot guns sporadically into the air from Uso into Akoko in the name of political campaign.Without any particular reason, in 2019 just like in 2020 PDP members were shot at at their meeting places . Even Eyitayo Jegede,a soft spoken individual and a lover of peace and his campaign train were shot at when they visited Owo as a gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in 2020.
In the face of all these annoying challenges and manifested intimidation, PDP members didn't lose their heads. However, it's quite disturbing that most Representatives of APC in the House of Assemby ( Koko and West) were mere comedians within the four walls of the Hallowed Chamber. This is crystal clear without the crystal ball.
To add insult to the injury, two days ago, all the aspirants for the various elective positions were gathered at a Stakeholders' meeting where they were told to accept the wickedness of imposition of candidates with impunity when formally and regrettably non-performers were picked beforehand for the various elective positions in 2023: Ipinsagba 4 Senate; Adelegbe 4 Reps ; and Renny and West 4 MHAs? What a shame in a full-blown democracy!
The PDP family and the entire people of Owo Kingdom and her environs are tired of these heartless propagandists and pathological liers who are now the unfortunate occupants of the corridors of power at all levels. In their confusion, PMB, Mr Integrity who didn't have a dine to purchase his nomination form for 27millions naira in 2014 was recently comfortable to endorse 100 million naira for the same form. Regrettably , the political dracular, religious bigot, tribal hegemonist and feudal lord but robed in the garbs of the Progressive and Democrat after his approval of this high cost of mere nomination form went ahead to also compel the unlucky and disillusioned aspirants to sign letters of withdrawal as bitter pills. This is nothing but a rape on the institution of ballot papers in our dear nation and a wicked ambush against constitutional democracy in our fatherland in the 21st century.
This is a big shame for the self-acclaimed progressive elements and their camps! What a tragedy!
The situation is any different in the state where political generalissimo tendencies have been used by the sitting emperor to whip the aspirants here into gruesome order. These lies won't last long, the present falsehood will pretty soon fade into oblivion . This is the most obvious thing seen by all . We are watching with keen interest!
We are indeed deeply convinced that the APC will crumble like a pack of cards in no distant time. We are just watching and waiting for the last episode of the season movie. Nevertheless, we are not bothered by the ranting of Jelenke and his cohorts in this political melodrama. The truth is revealed already ,and our people are readily armed with it. No amount of window dressing will heal the torn veils of Hon. Ogunmolasuyi's political outcrop. It's now a tale by the moon light.
To all lovers of democracy, and the courageous youths and members who alreay openly reject WEST for his failure in the Hallowed Chamber ,your reward is in the belly of posterity. However ,for Mr Bamidele Adekunle Jelenke and his accomplices in crimes ,your investment of woes and vendatte has been captured by history; and it will be rewarded accordingly for we know this purported apology is bought with taxpayers' money and made under duress within the confine of the police.
We are not fools, and we refuse to live in fool's paradise! Conscience definitely is an open wound, only truth can heal it.
We leave Jelenke,West , APC and their gullible followers and supporters to their conscience. However, one can only kill the messenger ,one cannot kill his message. This is our resolute resolve in this most unfortunate situation?
