The leading aspirant for the Ondo North Senatorial District under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP Akogun ADETOKUNBO MODUPE has congratulated all Muslim Umah while also felicitating with them across the District on the successful completion of Ramadan Fasting and the celebration of Eid-El Fitr.
In a message to the people of Ondo North District, Akogun said the last one month has been a time of fasting and soul cleansing, a period of spiritual rejuvenation and renewed faith ,and a season of building love and unity among the Umah through alms-giving.
He therefore enjoins them all not to quickly forget the lessons of the Holy Month especially the teachings,tenets and doctrines as well as the spiritual principles of Islam. He admonishes them to show more dedication in the pursuit to attain piety, of love and compassion as they celebrate.
According to him, he noted ," Alhough, this year celebration is coming at a time the country is facing myriad of teething challenges to wit: Mindless insecurity, abject poverty, bitter frustration and grueling hardships, please join the collegiate agenda to rescue Nigeria from the current tyrants and oppressors that occupy the corridors of power at all levels.
He finally implores entire muslim Umah across the nation to further use the spirit of the season to intercede for the nation in prayers for peace and unity among Nigerians irrespective of creed or colour.
