A foremost leader of the Ondo North Senatorial District under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe welcomes Muslim faithfuls in the District to the holy month of RAMADAN, a season of self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less privileged.
In a message personally signed by the Head of Public Communication, TOKs4Senate'23, Wale Obanigba Esq, Akogun enjoins them to use the opportunity to pray for unity, peace and progress of Nigeria especially at time of uncertainty, fear and economic downturn being currently witnessed by the people.
The message reads in part, "Nigeria presently needs the intervention of God to solve the myriads of challenges facing the country under the ruling All Progressive Party(APC. I therefore enjoin you all to use this period of intense prayer to seek the face of God on behalf of the country and the good people of Ondo State particularly in the North Senatorial District .
He said further, "Islam is a religion of peace that upholds the values of tolerance and mutual co-existence,without a place for hatred and violence." He therefore admonished peaceful co-existence amongst the residents of Ondo North Senatorial District and Ondo State.
