Paying his last homage to the legendary mornach, the revered Alaafin of Oyo, HIM, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi (III) through a condolence letter,Comr. Awodele Oluseun , the indefatigable and amiable Chairman of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters' Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), Oyo State Chapter on behalf of the entire members of the association in the state described the death of the renowned Oba Alayeluwa as a monumental loss to the entire Yoruba race.

The condolence message, a thrilling tribute to the Pan-African Leader and Pan-Yoruba Activist reads as follows :

TRIBUTE TO HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, IKU-BABA-YEYE, ALAYELUWA, OBA LAMIDI ADEYEMI 111 (1938 - 2022)

The demise of our indefatigable Royal Father - Oba Lamidi Adeyemi (III) indeed dreadfully a sad and monumental loss to the Yoruba race across the world.

No matter the situation, Kabiyesi never lost his capacity for patriotism, panache, and native intelligence to fight the appropriate positioning of the Yoruba's scheme of things at the local and international levels. Kabiyesi was indeed a priceless and exceptional gift to the human race. The entire members, executives, and leaders of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria(FIBAN) ,Oyo State chapter say goodbye to an era.

We are bidding farewell to a champion of the masses, we are bidding farewell to an astute and versatile moving encyclopedia of human history who had tenaciously overcome the turmoil of Nigeria’s modern tradition and political history.

We passionately give our last respects to a father whose life has taught us about compassion, unity, and love for one another.Kabiyesi has come, you have won, and have conquered. Papa has carved his name on our hearts, not tombstones. His legacies will be etched into the minds of the people both high and low, and his wonderful stories of love and compassion shall remain with us forever. Live on, the Emperor of the Yoruba Empire. It will be so hard to feel the vacuum you are leaving behind.

We commiserate with the entire Royal Family, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, Senator (Dr) Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu, and the Yorubas at home and in the diaspora.

Odoju oorun, odoju ala, odarinnako.

Sleep on, till we part no more.
