A young and dynamic youth enthusiast and political activist from Ehin-Ogbe eyeing the coveted seat of Member, House of Assemby, Owo Constituency (I) in Ondo State , Hon. Ijalana Olabode with his jewel of inestimable jewel today picked his expression of intent and Nomination forms at the PDP Secretariat Alagbaka,Akure amidst funfare in the presence of party gladiators and scores of supporters and associates.
He arrived at the Secretariat of the party flanked by his political associates , Supporters and many critical party stakeholders from his local government area of Owo particularly his ward Ehin-Ogbe Ward (I) and other wards in his constituency. His Ward Chairman, Hon. Ojo Bolanle fondly called Alayamesan by admirers led the entourage that consisted of other chairmen like Ch. Oronbato (Uwee) of Igboroko 2 ; Ch. Bola Olafmihan (Igboroko I); and Mr Ajijola Ahmed (Obey) of Ipenmen/Isuada/ Idasen /Obsooto Ward 9.
Other critical stakeholders included some of the Executive Committee members of Ehin-Ogbe; youths and women leaders like Mrs Dunni ( Igboroko I); Mrs Fatorise (Igboroko 2), and his Woman Leader, Mrs Balogun (Ehin-Ogbe) among other friends and family members.

The indefatigable State Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adams while giving out the forms described Ijalana as a worthy ambassador of the party whose character , integrity and impeccable track records of meritorious service to both the public and the PDP are worthy of emulation. "You are extremely calm and collected by your unruffled disposition. You have promoted our party the more by your recent activities which are laudable. You have also demonstrated as I was told that you don't see this contest as a do or die affair. Your sportsmanship can be said to be very exceptional. This gladdens our hearts."
He finally submitted that Olabode like a responsible politician he is should play the game according to the rules as pledged.
However ,on his part while reacting to the encomiums showered upon him by the State Chairman ,and to make known his intention to run to the state hierachy of the party, Ijalana who is popularly known in his constituency and the entire Owo LGA as BBC heartily appreciated him as well as the other distinguished party state Central Working Committee (SCWC) members for his kinds words but pressed forward to say," PDP is a great party with structure, discipline and internal democracy. This is our motivation , and we have confidence in your leadership and that our local government area that you will refrain yourselves from imposition of candidates but like always strive to give our party the best candidate through a free,fair and credible primary."
On his return home, the great grassroots mobilizer and his members of entourage went straight to the office of the PDP Owo LG Chairman, High Ch. Idris O. Olafimihan Asaba to receive his blessings .
Ijalana while at Asaba's office reiterated his renewed commitment to the PDP and also further pledged his loyalty to the party which he described as the only hope of the downtrodden/ the masses now soaked in penury and woes that currently betide the nation.Asaba used the occasion to bless and reaffirmed that the party under his watch would ,no doubt, ensure that free ,fair and credible primaries are conducted while assuring the entire aspirants of fairness and equity at all levels.
Ijalana however will have to beat other giants contestants in the constituency especially the incumbent Youth Leader of the PDP in the LGA who has political leaning across the wards and Ch. Adebayo Ibrahim (Adafen Olomiyete) popularly known as Abbey ShopRite and the incumbent State Auditor of the party among others like Comr. Ayokunle Adedeji , the former candidate of Z-LP for the same position in 2019 if he must fly the party ticket.
