On the popular political platform on Ada 88.9 FM in the sunshine state Monday afternoon, the Director General of Ajipe Campaign Organization, Barr. Tolu Babaleye while giving reasons while his principal ,Ch. ( Dr) Oluremi Ajipe-Obadamilsoro is the aspirant to beat for the Senate , strongly ran down the former Director General of Space Management and currently the Deputy Majority Leader of the 9th Assembly in the Red Chamber, Sen. Ajayi Boroface who he described in a clearer terms as a socio-political leper and non-performer.
Babaleye's principal ,Ajipe, the Irawo-Ola of Yoruba land and the Managing Director/ CEO of KlickConnect Network, is eyeing the exalted position of the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District comprises of six LGAs of Akoko North-East ,Akoko North-West, Akoko South-East,Akoko South-West , Ose and Owo. However , the incumbent Senator, Sen. Ajayi Boroface has spent well above thirteen years leaving less than a year to complete his third term in the Red Chamber.
According to the controversial lawyer ,he maintained that people of Ondo North are angry due to non-performance of Senator borofice in last thirteen years in the Senate despite available juicy opportunities and constituency benefits.He stressed further that when
Senator Boroffice came, we all taught he was our Messiah, but he failed and has failed woefully as a betrayal of trust to his benefactors and followers/Supporters.
To disabuse the minds of the constituents of the Senatorial District ,the legal luminary revealed that the most of the statutory aides to the Senator like his Senior Legislative Aide is a man from Okitipupa just like Ajanaku ,his Chief of Staff he said do not have a voter's card.
While vehemently making it abundantly clear that Ajipe is a better alternative, he maintained that the entire Akoko is shortchanged and his people duped electorally by the man he paradoxically called Borrow Face. " I'm from Akoko , and I'm not a vagabond or bastard. The truth is that the narrative that Owo cannot have the governor and the Senate is a farce. We contested again Owo in 2016 in APC Governorship Primary. Rt. Hon. Olabimtan, Sen. Ajayi Boroface, Mr Segun Abraham and Barr. Segun Abayomi all contested against Gov. Akeredolu." He said that Akoko didn't give the position away but that it was keenly contested , and that's Owo man got it. "So, why would a man with competence and capacity be denied a space to aspire and do it freely."
"Why boroffice was in Abuja, I personally worked for him in 2019. We met with Akoko people to canvass for support for him. Because we believed then that if he won the election that time, he would become a principal officer and do many great things for our people. He won beautifully and later became the Deputy Majority Leader, a coveted position in the Senate. But still, what has he done ? He failed woefullybased on his scorecards , and our people are continually disappointed.
The only project of Senator Boroffice in Akungba for instance according to Babaleye is a laboratory project which is still under construction as we speak. It staterd it in 2011 and was not in any different from it status when it was flagged off.
He therefore boastfully declared ," I stand to be corrected,but as a seasoned Iawyer and activist I have all facts with me, I will take responsibility for my words. Let him come and confront me with facts and figures about all these allegations if they are unfounded. Am a lawyer, anything I say here, I take responsibility and mean it. That is just the reality."
Babaleye was bitter saying that Ondo South has two Senior Legislative Aides, but Ondo North has nothing... Very painful too all he pointed out,most Boroface's appointments were given to people from another District .
Borofice according to Tolu ,the DG of Ajipe Campaign Organization, is a political prodigal son who has consistently contested all governorship elections since 2016 even as a Senator by wasting the constituency resources without any dividends of democracy to show for them.
On the choice of primary, the articulate DG said, "We are prepared for either direct or indirect primary. By next week, we were told, the final list of the delegates will be out officially. We are more than prepared but we shall strongly oppose imposition of candidates or unwholesome selection of consensus candidate."
Revealing further his principal preparedness, he convincingly added,' The primary is in the realm of victory for our principal,but if anything funny happens ,we will legitimately and legally fight it in the court of law until the right thing is done. Again, if we are defeated in an open,free , fair and credible primary,we shall support and work assiduously for our party's victory."
Ajipe ,the Emure-Ile born technocrat and an investor turned politician believes that with him on the ballot, APC can be rest assured of victory in the general election in the District considering his toga of service , bundle of talents and potentials that are consistently made available in fresh Initiatives and innovations with attested opportunities in the industrial revolution of Ondo State under progressive administration of his boss and leader, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu ,SAN ,the Executive Governor of the sunshine state.
As a young , vibrant and dynamic grassroots mobilizer and astute politician with tactics and strategies, Babaleye maintained that Ajipe, the Convener of Ibigiga Ambassadors ,a volunteer group and a tourism expert will win the primary and go ahead to win the general poll for the APC and to the glory of God.
