It was all jubilation with uncommon expectations for the entire people of Ondo North Senatorial District especially his families, political associates, friends and supporters as the colossus of our time and the legendary guru of Public Relations and Strategies, Akogun Tokunbo Modupe popularly called TPT whose acronym for senatorial aspiration is TOKS 2023 picked his nomination form for the Senate.
TPT and his entourage stormed the Wadata Plaza, the National Secretariat of the party this morning with uncommon political jamboree to pick his nomination form for the coveted Seat of the Senate,Ondo North Senatorial District. This statutory exercise to many people especially his constituents, who see this aspiration as the solution to the dwindling electoral fortunes of the PDP in the district ,is described as a right step in the right direction. In fact, it is equally seen as a project that will come with high hope and great expectations.
TOKS after picking the form said emphatically to the NWC led by the Indefatigable National Chairman of the PDP, HE, Rt. Hon. Iyocha Ayu that he will always be a good ambassador of the party. " My Chairman, I promise on my honour as a Zonal Ex-Officio in our great party that I shall not be found wanting in character. I'm out to represent our party at Ondo North Senatorial District, and I'm battle ready to face all odds to deliver my constituents and the hapless citizens from the tyrannical and cynical clutches of the ruling APC. This is my mandate before God , and my bond with my constituents."
Akogun Tokunbo Modupe lost the same ticket in 2018 during the PDP primary to Engr Philip Alonge (OPA). It's a political mirage as many astute politicians, opinion leaders, social and public analysts and commentators , and even the media experts as well as political tacticians and strategists strongly believed and predicted that the historic primary would go in favour of TPT who was a more popular aspirant in the district with track records of political involvement being chiefly the Director-General of Campaign Organization of Sambo/Jonathan in 2015 and a political juggernaut in the sunshine state.
Alas! Reverse was the case as OPA won the primary surprisingly.
The astute politician and gladiator was never deterred by his unfortunate loss then but went ahead with assured hope to mobilize aggressively for the party. To his credit according to all available and verifiable records scooped from the grapevines by Abejoye Media, Tokunbo handsomely delivered Ose ,his local government area to the PDP and OPA ,the party candidate.
With this uncommon resolve and feat recorded, Tokunbo has been described by critical stakeholders , party faithfuls and the electorates as an exceptional human species hewn from the finest marble of humanity. He has indeed equally etched his name on the golden door of history.
The stage is now set for more pronounced political fireworks as the authenticity of his senatorial aspiration in the district is registered officially.
From impeccable sources ,the political gladiator considering his mercurial spade works and mobilizing strategies having learnt from his past mistakes and experience is believed to emerge outstandingly as the party candidate. However, Prince Rotimi Ibidapo Bassey, the business mogul is equally eyeing the coveted seat but has not registered it intention officially just like the deep-pocket Foluso Mayowa Adefemi( FMA) ,a former gubernatorial candidate under ADP in the state is equally warming up.

According to Comrade Ademola Taofeek Adekunle(ATA) , the facilitator of the online platform, The Democracy Promoters ( TDP) , who also is a staff of the National Assemby and friend of the aspirant and political bigshot, he described the scene at the Wadata Plaza as a rainbow in the clouds as he assuredly ascertained that TPT with the array of political gladiators and critical stakeholders that root for him would eventually pick the PDP ticket and go ahead to defeat any candidate of the ruling APC.
At the Wadata Plaza today many high profile politicians and opinion leaders and supporters were seen in the entourage of the great aspirant who shared bloodlines between Owo and Ose paternally and maternally respectively.
