Barely six months of taking the mantle of leadership from the retired but never tired Comr. Kehinde Fabuda, the former Headmaster of Our Saviour's Primary School ,Emure -Ile in Owo LGA , Alhaji Okoro Munirudeen, the incumbent head teacher and incumbent President of NUT has mobilized critical stakeholders in the host community and education sector in the LGA as the school celebrated another colourful Inter-House Sports Competition on Thursday, 10th March,2022 in the school playing ground. .

The occasion was so colourful considering the numbers and clibres of dignitaries that graced the event. Pupils and teachers were gorgeously attired with their sports and foot wears as they were seen bubbling with joy and jubilation when they ,especially the athletes ,were cheered by spectators who came from different interests, backgrounds and places to be part and parsu of the celebrations. It was a specular scene to behold considering the array of dignitaries in attendance and the pomps and pageantries that heralded the event.
The Royal Host, Elemure of Emure-Ile Kingdom, HRM , Oba Simeon Adedubaje-Adeyefa (I) JP was unavoidably absent due to communal assignment just like the Chairman of ocassion, Dr Dolapo Fatogun, the former Senatorial Candidate of the Mega Party in Ondo North District;but the Olupenmen of Ipenmen, HRM,Oba Ebenezer Adesanmi Adewumi Ogunmolasuyi (II) , the Royal Father of the Day was fully on ground to fill the vacuum and add glamour to the event.

The young, visionary and dynamic Olupenmen, the former SA to the Senate President,Sen. Bukola Saraki in his speech described the occasion as a colourful one while commending the Headmaster, Hajj Muniru as his fondly called by his colleagues for the exceptional feat recorded. He succinctly submitted ,"This is an avenue to discover hidden potentials and latent talents. I'm supporting sports not only here, even at Ipenmen,my kingdom; Isuada and my Alma-Mater,Imade College ,Owo. This will create an alternative platform for academic brilliance for talent discovery among pupils."

The top table was occupied by distinguished gladiators and bigshots in the kingdom and education sector in the LGA. Apart from the Hon. Councilor of Uso/Emure-Ile Ward, the meek and refined democrat, Hon. Hammed Ibrahim and the comported former SA on Political Mobilization to Dr Olusegun Rahman Mimiko,Hon. Benson Ogunbode who is also a polytechnic don, on ground were the delectable HOD, School Services, Mrs Adefesoye ; Mrs Ayorinde,the hospitable HOD on Social Mobilization; and the highly cerebral Mrs Ibemere , the Acting Education Secretary in the LGA.

In his welcomed address, Hajj Muniru appreciated Almighty Allah for the success of the event so far but used the occasion to appreciate all the Invited Guests for honouring his call to service. " I want to thank all the donors for their huge support. I thank specially the Elemure and Olupenmen for their Royal Blessings and Support. To all my staff and pupils ,I appreciate you all for doing me proud today. I'm humbled by your timely responses, kind words and the assistance rendered.'
He went further to reveal that the proceed of the event so far would be judiciously expended. " From the proceed already,we made sport wears for our donors; bought spraying machine and hand-driven land mower; chemicals and accessories; and internal electrification among other things." He thereafter called for assistance in the area of more classrooms and the equipping of the computer laboratory he depressedly described as dilapidated museum. He strongly appreciated Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu,SAN, the Executive Governor of the state for the ongoing projects like the completion of the perimeter fencing and the total renovation of the primary six block.

The PTA Chairman, Prince Adeyefa Johnson Adesegun noted with rapt attention the petitions of the school before its Committee while pledging to assist in all ways possible. He cleverly pleaded with parents ,donors, philanthropists and well-wishers to help bail the school out of the woods. He then appreciated all members of the PTA Executive Committee who were also on ground for their unflinching support always given to the headmaster and the school management.
The Hon. Councillor, Hon. Hammed Ibrahim used the occasion to appreciate the Executive Governor for the infrastructural uplift of the school while also appreciating the headmaster and his lietenants for the success of the colourful event. He stated, " The like of Fatima Yusuf and Blessing Okagbare were discovered during competitions like this. As such, I appreciate this kind gesture coming from our ebullient head teacher." Hon. Benson Ogunbode on his part maintained that the school wouldremain his Alma-Mater. He therefore encouraged the pupils particularly to use the opportunity provided by the event to evolve fully in sports while pledging to assist with his widow's mite.

Other important personalities at the event included the representatives of the house donors who were unavoidably absent due to far distance and critical personal engagements. The Yellow House although renamed as Royal House or Elemure House has Mrs Aramide Ojo Nee Daramola as its donor. She was represented at the event by Comr. Falade O. D and Comr Folarin Akinola who were members of the Aramide Ojo Foundation. Only last December, hundreds of school children and their parents were given palliatives ranging from food items, clothes, school bags , etc. Many pulpils from this school also benefited from her humanitarian gestures as revealed through Comr. Folarin Akinola.

The White House is named after Hon. Segun Ojo, the General and former Commissioner for Finance , Budgets and Economic Planning under Late Ch. Adefarati-led administration who recently became the incumbent Chairman of Emure-Ile Development Council (EDC). Dr Oluloro Julius, who expectedly was the representative of the political juggernaut at the event, was also conspicuously absent due to unavoidable circumstances.Asiwaju Segun Ojo is a worthy community leader and human capital developer who accordingly as reported by the Headmaster had sent his contributions . The statistician has indeed provided for many their sources of livelihood using his influence in and outside government.

Prince Princewill Adeyefa popularly known as Ojo Conscience was accompanied by Mr Temitope Adejugbe who was in attendance to represent Engr Dapo Kolade ,the donor of the Blue House who co-sponsors with Mr Deji Kolade the Susannah-Kolade Foundation established in the cherished memory of their late mother. With the foundation, incentives in form of cash and materials had previously been donated to outstanding pupils of the school and many others apart from the unaccountable kind gestures to individuals and groups within the kingdom.

The Green House donor is the great Agbelesebioba of Emure-Ile, the philanthropist with a large heart that donated the Police Headquarters to the Nigerian Police in Emure-Ile. He is also currently building a bank in the community apart from his numerous assistance to develop the youths and other humanitarian gestures like the building and equipment for the treatment of sickle-sell patients at FMC ,Owo.. He is a worthy philanthropist and magnanimous individual whose core mandate is to invest in humanity with his family. Recently,for his huge contributions to humanity in the LGA, he was in late 2020 installed as Adafen Gbadegun of Owo by HIM, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesi Ogunoye (III) and Otunba Atuwase of Iyere Land by the progressive,your and compassionate Oliyere, HRM, Oba Alaba Omotunde Ebiyanmi Adako- Ireshi (II).
The competition was a keenly contested one; however the event was spiced with cultural display from Owo, Ebira and few other tribes with redentive background music provided by DJ Fabulous to add glamour to the entire celebrations. The match pass was won by the White House while Green House and Red House became 1st and 2nd runners up respectively. Nonetheless, Blue House took the 4th position with the Yellow House taking the lead from the rear.

Many events were performed like the 100m Race,200m Race, Sack Race, Egg Race, Fill-The-Bottle Race , Balloon Race and so on apart from the open race like 4 x 100m Relay and Invitation Relay . With the scores already pulled from the Heat and Final previously, Red House of Mr Salami Emmanuel became the champion of the Annual Anniversary with Yellow House of Aramide Ojo as 1st runner-up and White House of Segun Ojo becoming 3rd position. The 4th and 5th positions went to Blue House and Green House respectively.However, the most beautiful house went to the Blue House and the most dedicated house was won by Green House of Agbelesebioba.

Apart from the representatives of the TESCOM AND SUBEB , the members of Owo Teachers For Peace ( NUT) under the Chairmanship of Mr Akinwale Festus were also on ground.The other school head teachers in the group at the event were Mrs Eburu Caroline ( AOPSTON), Comr. Adesina A.S ( State N.U.T Reps), Mr Makanju, Mr Ajijola J.O, Mrs Alasi C O and Mr Fabuda Kehinde. Others included Mrs Sule-Oderinde H.M( NUT LG Scribe) , Mrs Asogbon, Alhaja Okoro M. C and Mrs Folahanmi C.P. Mrs Fadare S. B , Mr Falarunu F.K , Mr Fadare S.B and Mrs Akinde V.I were also there.
