His sudden death came as a rude shock to many as he was never expected to die now because he was full of life lately.
As at the time of filing this report , the circumstances behind his death is still sketchy. However , from the grapevines ,it was scooped that he died as a result of brief illness.
On the 31st December, BAM returned with the like of the former Chief Judge , Justice Seinde Kumuyi and former House of Assemby member , Hon. Bsnso among other to the PDP having joined the Z-Labour Party to support the gubernatorial aspiration of the embattled former Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi who got the the party governorship when he lost to Eyitayo Jegede SAN, who later flied the PDP flag as its gubernatorial candidate in 2020.
He was there during the Ondo North Senatorial District meeting presided over by its Chairman, Hon. Bobby Omotoso. In the meeting well attended by PDP hierarchy, he was bubbling with life as he pledged a new loyalty to the party.
Before then ,the great icon now departed was a strong member of the Labour Party before it collapsed into the PDP. BAM was then the Honourable Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs. He was a performer , and a colossus judging by his indelible footprints and impeccable track records of meritorious service.
He was indeed one of the few political juggernauts in the like of Late Hon. Dayo Fadahunsi,former SA on Union Matters; Hon. Emiola ,former Deputy Speaker , and Eyitayo Jegede, SAN among others that were eyeing the governorship seat in 2016 when HE, Dr Olusegun Rahman Mimiko would have left office.
Very sad news indeed for this unfortunate fall of a star and a hero in the political firmament of the sunshine state. This death comes when the entire PDP family was mourning as a result of the sudden death in an auto-crash along Lokoja-Abuja Expressway of another party stalwart and the incumbent South Senatorial District Woman Leader and one of the aspirants for the Green Chamber in the National Assemby,Hon. Mrs Yetunde Dada who was buried yesterday in her residence in Akure.
This shocking news is going to be another grief for the political party who are already down with despair and anguish over the previous monumental loss so devastating. The vacuum created by his exit shall be difficult to fill.
To the entire Akoko people, the death of the colossus is described as a colossal loss as his demise has created a great pains . May the soul of the departed and the loved rest peacefully in the bosom of his Maker!
