Ayorinde Fatukasi Takes Title of Obaji ; Add Glamour To Father's Burial Ceremony In Emure-Ile,Owo

 

In what looks like a bolt from the blues,Engr Kunle Ayorinde Fatukasi of the Federal Medical Centre,Owo threw the entire guests and on-lookers in his father's Ajabue Traditional Dance round the town yesterday into wonderland as he took the title of Obaji of Emure-Ile Kingdom at the Elemure Palace.

The tittle was last taken many years ago by Pa Bawode Fatukasi who was popularly known as Baba-Oke among his contemporaries and the generality of Emure-Ile people. Late Pa Mathew Folorunso Fatukasi , Ayorinde's father was Pa Bawode's half-brother. Pa Folorunso's mother was Mama Alayaratan while Late Pa Bawode's mother was Late Princess Tinuade.

Obaji is a title first that was conferred on Pa Fatukasi Alasi Awoseede, Ayorinde's grandfather by Elemure Obeluegbe Ogundimibola (I). However, Pa Bawode Fatukasi , Ayorinde Uncle was later installed  as Obaji by  HRM, Oba Japheth Adeyefa Ogundimibola (II). Pa Bawode Fatukasi Obaji was extremely close to the Elemure Japheth Adeyefa Ogundimibola (II) as he was his closest eye and ear just like Pa Olotu Adegha was to Elemure Obeluegbe Ogundimibola (I) and Ch. Banwo Gbabe Okundalaye is to HRM, Elemure Simeon Adedubaje-Adeyefa (I) JP, the current Elemure of Emure-Ile.

Ch. Ayorinde Ayokunle Fatukasi Obaji was a senior administrator at Government Technical College ( GTC) before he transferred his service to The Federal Medical Centre , Owo in the maintenance department where he is currently working. He is also a member of Ugbama Kinne Age-Grade System ,the Olorigbama ( Senior) in the community. Socially ,he is inclined and a bonafide member of United Star Club of Emure-Ile under the leadership of Mr Samuel O. Awosusi , a Director in the Ondo State Internal Revenue Agency as President.

As gathered by Abejoye Media News ,Ch. Ayorinde Fatukasi Obaji ,anyway ,took his family members by surprise ; however, the chieftancy title has added glamour to the burial ceremony of Pa M.F Fatukasi who was a member of Emure-Ile Youth Movement(EYM) later Emure-Ile Youth Association (EYA) and then the Treasurer of Emure-Ile Development Council (EDC) now under the Chairmanship of Asiwaju Segun Ojo ,the General  who was the former Commissioner for Finance under Gov. Adebayo Adefarati- led administration  and former Chairman of Odua investment Plc but a political gladiator and APC bigwig in Ondo State and beyond.

The family members were indeed happy about the development as Ayorinde ,the new Obaji is a good replacement for the chieftancy title that has been vacant for more than a decade years.

The incumbent Elemure of Emure-Ile Kingdom, Oba Simeon Adedubaje-Adeyefa (I) JP was extremely happy that such a young man and one of the illustrious sons of the community could assume such position of responsibility at this critical period. According to the mornach, " Ayorinde is a known personality in the kingdom. He is very respectful, humble, dutiful, loyal and progressive. I'm particularly delighted that he accepts to take such a title. I wish him the best in his new position .

"To Professor Ayodele Adebayo Fatukasi, he was with a mixed feeling. He, though extremely happy,  maintained ," You see ,I was taken by surprise . Ayorinde really surprised me and other members of the family. Anyway , it's a good thing but it comes to me as a surprise. I Congratulate my brother heartily."  He said further, " We are happy as a family as this event has added glamour to our father's rites of passage which this Ajabue Traditional Dance is an integral part. " Prof. Fatukasi ,a Vienna ,Austral trained Economist is a university don at Adekunle Ajasin University ,Akungba ,Akoko and a political gladiator who is a member of the APC.

Pa Fatukasi ,the new Obaji's father served as Treasurer of EDC under Pa Theophilus Ibidapo Omotoso -the father of the former CMD of Federal Medical Centre Owo -Dr Olufemi Omotoso- who was the former Head of Service and Commisioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources under Gov. Adekunle Ajasin-led administration in Ondo State.
