Akinyemi Jnr Declares Aspiration For House of Representatives,Reveals Secret Behind Legacy Foundation

To many politicians ,it has become a tradition to identify with the party hierarchy at all levels whenever they intend to officially express their interest for any elective office. However, it was a revelation time for  Engr Alex Owen Akinyemi Jnr as he paid a courtesy call to the PDP owo local government central working committee this afternoon his entourage visited the Court Yard ,Iloro Quarter of the PDP Chairman, Owo LG Chapter ,High Ch. Idris Okeowo Idris Asaba( Aloma).

The Publicity Secretary , Akogun Niyi Folahanmi who officially received the aspirant and his entourage described Akinyemi Jnr as a worthy philosophy and a man with a heart of gold.

While welcoming Owen and his retinue of political associates, friends and supporters applauded him for his resolve to join the winning team.He also commended him for his magnanimity and timely decision to add value to the PDP in Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.

While informing the central working committee of the purpose of his welcome, calm, cool and collected Akinyemi Jnr, a London based technocrat and philanthropist profusely expressed his indebtedness to the Committee of PDP stakeholders for the warm reception accorded him and  members of his entourage. He therefore maintained that PDP is the party to beat as concerted efforts must be deployed to help rescue Nigeria from the ruling APC. Apart from describing himself as a very quiet, reserved and shy individual, he also used the occasion to plead with the party leaders as he canvassed for votes and total support for the success of his aspiration .

According to him," I have come to you with absolute humility. I honour you all for your personalities and position. I'm great humbled by your show of love. I'm a man of few words ,very shy but with good home training. I need your support as I run for the coveted seat of Member, House of Representatives, Owo/Ose Federal Constituency. I want to serve you with all my heart and strength just to make a difference and help the masses so impoverished. I feel their pains ,and I know they need a rescue. Please support me with your votes. I will never disappoint you and our party. This is my bond."

It was indeed a revelation of his philanthropy when the Financial Secretary ,Mr Bimbo Okoro revealed that today he is worth a million naira as proud owner of piggery farm courtesy of this wonderful brother and aspirant who helped me with an interest free loan to be repaid at my convenience when I faced challenges  aside other kind gestures too numerous to mention. I also know of many others. The Senatorial Youth Leader,North , Hon. Nasirudeen I. Boboye-Ijawoye also corroborated the position of the Financial Secretary as he said that the aspirant has assisted many PDP member through his Legacy Foundation ."He has also assisted us in the publicity secretariat with his meaningful and timely assistance",he added. 

So elated to know of this huge kind gestures as revealed by Okoro, the Senatorial Leader and Akinyemi's supporters during their self-introduction, Asaba requested to know what the foundation is all about. Apart from the fact that Mrs Taye and Mrs Comfort Adedeji,Woman Leader, Isaipen Ward 8 explained that the members of the foundation are drawn from the eleven wards of the LGA and that free revolving loans are constantly made accessible to members, they said the membership of the foundation is still open. "By June this year ,another millions of naira shall be distributed as usual to deserving members",Mrs Adedeji concluded .

To Akinyemi Jnr, he has this to say about the foundation. " I'm a friend to a brother of Later Hon. Sugar ,a former MHP from Ibadan ,Oyo State in London where I have spent thirty-six (36) years. I was impressed by the way he assisted the mass. He assisted many like that through me. This was an eye opener to me. Legacy Foundation is a product of my companionship with Sugar and his brother, my dearest friend and the window to express my concerns for the underprivileged. I decided to replicate this here at home to better expand my scope of kind gestures." He then quickly and strongly added, " I always feel the pains of the poor masses. I know my singular effort cannot be adequate to assist as I can. I decide to run to use the opportunities of this office to help more people. For me ,I'm alright already. This is self-evident ,however a lot depends on me for succour. This is my greatest ambition. I cannot stand poverty in the land,and bear the associated predicaments often seen among the hopeless downtrodden."

The aspirant with his philanthropy and his foreign engineering expertise, there is strong hope that his innovative ideas and inspiring initiatives aside his diaspora network of friends and influence will be put to bear as MHP if he is supported for the elective position.

Despite his sterling qualities of firm character, kindheartedness, cosmopolitan experience and influence, dignity of labour and institutional discipline as engineer with UK expertise, his ambition if will be a thing of reality , Akinyemi Jnr shall contest against and win the political juggernauts like OGO, Ayorinde, Obanoyen and Arowele apart from others who shortly shall thrown themselves into the ring of political competition for the same office in the primary.

With the success of his visit, the coast is now clear for the aspirant to tour the the remaining 22 wards in the federal constituency to tell the PDP delegates and party hierarchy as well as other critical stakeholders of his aspiration in Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
